Toddler Class: This class is a slow separation class where parents or caregivers gently separate throughout the first 6 - 8 weeks of class.  Please see this page for information about our toddler program. Families admitted to this program are now considered enrolled in the school.  We work with families to determine class placements for the following year on an individual basis with families. Most students move into the 2s/3s, but some go straight into the 3s/4s.

The 2s/3s classes focus on your toddler's growing independence and language development. Educational research shows that emotional security is crucial to the foundation of learning. Our 2s/3s program is designed to stimulate children’s social, physical and cognitive development while safeguarding that security through the separation process.

Our 3s/4s classes emphasize decision-making, independent choice and responsibility, and social skills through communication. Through engagement of each child’s uniqueness, teacher’s support the development of academic skills, foster each child’s creativity and artistic expression and help children build secure relationships within the school community.

Our 4s/5s  classes support observation, organization and problem-solving skills as children transition to symbolic expression. Our emergent curriculum inspires curiosity and helps build an intrinsic motivation, love of learning and presents many opportunities for  problem-solving. The curricular areas provide the foundation upon which the academic areas of literacy, mathematics, science and social studies are established. In this way, children are prepared for their next educational experiences.
